ungluck asked:
Is it possible to place a superfecta wager with the bare minimum of horses (four in this case) racing? Same with Trifecta (three), etc.

With 4 horses, you have a choice of any one of four to win, any one of 3 to place, any of 2 for show and that leaves one horse left for 4th place. 4 X 3 X 2 X 1 = 24 combinations. If the minimum bet is $2 per ticket, it would cost you $48 to cover all combinations.

Are you saying that there is only 4 horses runnning in the race? If so , they usually will cancel superfecta wagering, most likely trifecta wagering will be canceled also.

you have to have at least 8 horses in a superfecta race.

No

IF I understand you correctly, in a race with only 4 horses there would be no Superfecta OR Trifecta offered.
Leroy
If I understand your question correctly, most of the above answers are wrong. You may not place a superfecta wager with only four horses racing. Because you will win automatically with a superfecta box.
Sean
no, you cant do this wager.

I understand your question and with your scenario no one would lose and that’s the reason we all bet on horses.
If no one could lose, what fun would that be?
